The next entry in EA’s Battlefield franchise is underway and while there isn’t much information, the company did share a concept art a while back. As the gaming community does with every little thing, one user took a closer look at the poster and found that the company used images from the war in Gaza for the artwork.

Spotted by Insider Gaming, an X (Twitter) user emadalden_ noted EA/DICE used an image of an explosion taken back in 2021 during the Israeli-Palestine conflict. It was quite impressive to be able to notice something that is completely immersed, but then again, the user is also a concept artist.

It is unlikely that EA used the specific image intentionally as the poster did claim it was a concept art which was most likely made to announce the development of the game. Even the person who spotted the image said this was likely a result of kitbash to finalize and image.

 EA yet to respond

Discovery of this image has had people raising various questions despite the image being simply a concept of depicting a war. EA is reportedly aiming to recover from the past failure of Battlefield 2042 and make the game more grounded like earlier titles.

In a past interview with IGN, EA revealed a few things about the game like how they have put a significant amount of devs in the next Battlefield game. There are also rumors that the game went under heavy playtesting and will bring some major gameplay features from older titles.

Official details regarding the game and what’s to come are still a secret. Apart from the company scaling down from the massive-scale battle, there is not much to go on. The reports also suggest a 2025 release, although, there is also no news regarding the same.
