Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the latest entry by Bioware after ANTHEM back in 2019 and the first Dragon Age game in a decade following Dragon Age: Inquisition. The game will be a next gen entry, meaning it will not be available on older consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Those who plan to play the game will need a PC or either a PS5 or Xbox Series X/S.
Set to release on October 31, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is an important entry for Bioware after multiple release that did not hit the mark. While the game itself looks quite impressive, building back reputation isn’t that easy. Reviews for the game are set to go live on October 28 across various reputed media outlets.
No DRM on release
In order to prove themselves, the game will also release without any for of DRM protection. While the main argument of DRM is to protect the game from piracy, people usually purchase games where they had fun. Lack of DRM also means there will be no preload for PC. Xbox Series X/S on the other hand already have the option available, while PS5 users can start preload from October 29.
The game is also Steam Deck Verified which is a big news considering many players usually prefer to play the games on free time and having this option on Steam Deck will further give them a boost in sales.
