New game from Genshin Impact devs in Hoyoverse leaked (Image - Mihoyo)

Leaks regarding an upcoming game from the developers of Genshin Impact, Mihoyo, are now floating across the internet. The game is described as a cozy farming sim-type game mixing features from Nintendo’s Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley and will be a new addition to Mihoyo’s immersive virtual world experience Hoyoverse.

As per a popular leaker hxg_diluc on X, the game is called Petit Planet. Mihoyo recently filed a trademark for the name with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

A few months back, multiple leaks across Bilibili and other social media platforms showed a game called Astaweave Haven, which is believed to be the same game with a different name. A gameplay clip shared on Reddit revealed that it is a top-down cozy farm sim game that can be played with another player.

Players can collect different materials to craft other useful items inside the game to further make the gameplay easy. The gameplay was very similar to Animal Crossing, although it did look like an early build. The leaker also revealed that the gameplay footage was also removed via a DMCA strike on Bilibili, further proving that both games are the same.

Petit Planet or Astaweave Haven will be a mobile release, similar to all other games in the Hoyoverse with also a PC port. More details on the game are yet to come out, but with the company filing the trademark and other things, the game will likely receive further beta testing across other regions soon.

Another expansion to Hoyoverse

Mihoyo quickly expanded the entire Hoyoverse with many games in the franchise. The most recent one is Zenless Zone Zero. Gacha games in general are quite profitable, as can be seen with games like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail.

However, watching the gameplay of Petit Planet, it is hard to believe a cozy game is in the gacha category. Of course, time will tell what form of monetization the developers have been aiming to put inside the game.
