Patch 2.2 for Cyberpunk 2077 is something many would say came a few years late, but now that it’s here, the update expands heavily on customization. From new vehicles to vehicle real-time customisation, more cyberware cosmetics, and an update to the photo mode, there’s a lot in the latest surprise update for Cyberpunk fans.
The character creator had some cool options to add when the game was released, but now, players can find even more chrome to put on their faces. The developers have also added 10 new cars players can buy; eight of them are from the base game, and the other two are from the Phantom Liberty expansion.

Moving on to bread and butter, players can now swap vehicle colours in real-time using the new ‘TWINTONE’ feature. “Simply scan a car with your Kiroshi optics, switch to the TWINTONE tab, then save the vehicle's colour scheme for a small fee. You'll then be able to select the scheme in the TWINTONE database under the CrystalCoat menu,” the official post wrote.

This feature also has practical uses aside from looking cool, as players can quickly lose cops by switching to a different colour scheme. Another small addition is Johnny Silver making an appearance in the passenger seat from time to time for small chat.

However, no new story expansion is available in the update, or is there? Gamers have found a small secret quest for Balatro, the deck-building game that recently made headlines by making into the game of the year category.

With each new game update, the support for older mods usually breaks, and until the modders come up with a solution, players are left hanging. In order to prevent this issue this time around, the older 2.13 update for Cyberpunk 2077 is currently available in the beta branch. This was done in order to let mods do their work and catch up with the latest update, and players can then switch to the main branch with updated mods.
“We also know that you love playing Cyberpunk 2077 with mods, which is why we decided to temporarily enable, until the end of January, a beta branch of the game on Steam, letting you revert to "2_13_old" while modders work on updating their content to the newest version of the game,” CDPR support wrote.
