CD Projekt Red to bring something new in upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 update

CD Projekt Red teases some new features coming with Patch 2.2 of Cyberpunk 2077 to celebrate its 4th anniversary, and fans are quite excited about the reveal.

When it comes to updates, CD Projekt Red always have one more in them as fans are set to receive a surprise update for Cyberpunk 2077. A recent post announced a special live stream on the 4th anniversary of the game revealing the addition of new features in the 2.2 update, and fans are quite excited.

All of this comes after CD Projekt Red announced they are done with the game and have moved on to different projects, specifically the next instalment in the Witcher series and a sequel to Cyberpunk. However, it seems that the developers are still striving to give players a game closest to their original vision.

Associate Game Director at CDPR, Paweł Sasko, also posted regarding the update, saying, “We were cooking for you in secret because we love you and want to give you the absolute best experience with Cyberpunk 2077 chooms.”

Fans wondering about the new Cyberpunk 2.2 update

As soon as the news dropped, speculation regarding, with a fan presuming a New Game+ and PS5 Pro patch, however, a live stream for something this small would not be justified. Apparently CDPR also agrees as the response was ‘no’.

CDPR’s global community director Marcin Momot also responded to some queries before ultimately clarifying it is something different and will be revealed during the stream that will be going live on December 10, 5 PM CET.

“A lot of questions about whether PS5 Pro support and NG+ are coming with Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.2. The answer is no. We do have some other cool stuff in the oven, and we’ll talk about it tomorrow during the stream, we hope you’ll like it too! Appreciate the patience,” Momot wrote.
