A Kickstarter campaign for a sequel to the sci-fi survival horror Chernobylite has met the goal within a week. The next installment in the series is much more ambitious in scope and is going to open the world for more exploration. The first game wasn’t exactly linear, but the sequel seems to be planning on expanding the idea.
Chernobylite 2 Exclusion Zone only had a goal of about $100,000 which has been completed by just 1400 backers. As a token of appreciation, all the backers will be getting a Season Pass for the game consisting of all future DLCs. With the goal now complete and the Kickstarter campaign still left with more than three weeks, the game can accumulate more funds to stretch its legs as mentioned in the official post.
“It took less than four days to reach our campaign goal, which is an incredible achievement and beyond our imagination. Once again, we all can pack our backpacks, Geiger counters, and stalker's equipment to get back to the Exclusion Zone as the gamers have spoken!”, the devs wrote.
Chernobylite 2 funded on Kickstarter in less than four days! Play the game in first-person mode and help us reaching the stretch goals.

The Farm 51 adding new goals
Despite some complaints about the first game in the series, it received a good reception, especially for the atmosphere. The complaints were mostly regarding weak stories and gameplay which will hopefully be much better in the next entry.
Chernobylite 2 was supposed to be a third-person RPG game, with the goal fulfilled, the developers will also be working on an alternative first-person combat mode feature for those who want better immersion in the post-apocalyptic RPG game. Along with that, the team also reached the first stretch goal and the game will have all the weapons from the first game on launch. The devs also plan to add more stretch goals which they will be sharing in the coming days.
