Martin claimed that he could not give much details and added there were talks about making a movie on Elden Ring. George was not aware of his involvement in the movie and felt there was a long way to think of it. He said there was a lot of time left for him to release his latest work and addressed the lack of time.
"Well, I can’t say too much about it, but there is some talk about making a movie out of Elden Ring. We'll see if that comes to pass and what the extent of my involvement was, I don't know. I'm a few years behind with my latest book, so that also limits the amount of things that I can do," said George R.R. Martin.
What Miyazaki said about Elden Ring's movie?
Before Martin, Miyazaki had also spoke about the chances of a movie being made on Elden Ring. He did not mind having adaptation od interpretation of Elden Ring. However, he wondered if there was enough knowledge or ability to produce a movie on a different medium.
"I don’t see any reason to deny another interpretation or adaptation of Elden Ring, a movie for example. But I don’t think myself, or FromSoftware, have the knowledge or ability to produce something in a different medium," said Miyazaki about Elden Ring's movie.
George's statement has excited the fans who want to see a different adaptation of the Elden Ring. Elden Ring: Nightreign, a multiplayer spinoff is around the corner for a release, which is a good news for the gamers. However, it is to be seen at what capacity Martin can involve himself in the project.
