BOOM Esports has once again proven its dominance in the esports arena by securing the final spot in the prestigious Honor of Kings Invitational Series 2024 Mid-Season. Their performance in the SEA Showdown stage was nothing short of spectacular, as they decisively defeated Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) with a clean 3-0 sweep.

This victory not only highlights their strategic brilliance but also cements their place among the top teams in the upcoming tournament, set to commence on August 1, 2024. In the first game, BOOM Esports faced a tough challenge as RRQ seemed to have the upper hand in the draft phase, securing powerful meta-heroes like Dolia, Allain, and Augran.

However, BOOM Esports displayed their tactical acumen by choosing Lian Po and Arli, which provided them with the necessary poke and engage tools. As the game unfolded, RRQ initially took control, leveraging their strong lineup to gain an early advantage.

Yet, a critical mistake on the top side allowed BOOM Esports to capitalize, turning the tide in their favour. With precise execution, they ended the game in just eleven minutes, showcasing their ability to adapt and overcome.

Boom Esports came prepared in the second round

The second game saw RRQ attempting to replicate their earlier success by once again securing Allain in the draft phase. However, BOOM Esports was prepared, countering with a well-rounded composition that included Fuzi in the farm lane and Da Qiao as a roamer.

Their strategy paid off as Fuzi and Biron continuously thwarted RRQ's attempts to gain momentum. Although RRQ managed to exploit a few weaknesses in BOOM's lineup, their reliance on an early snowball proved to be their downfall. BOOM Esports maintained their composure and eventually secured a win after 14 minutes of intense gameplay.

In the third and final game, RRQ attempted to change their approach, securing Garo for her late-game potential. However, BOOM Esports quickly identified the lack of cover for Garo due to RRQ's choice of Mozi as a roamer.

Exploiting this vulnerability, BOOM Esports unleashed a relentless assault with their Fang and Dolia picks, combined with Lady Zhen's crowd control abilities. Despite RRQ's efforts, Garo was unable to carry her team, and BOOM Esports clinched the final victory with a score of 12-6, ending the game in the fifteenth minute.
