Ubisoft has dropped the story trailer for Assassin's Creed Shadows and along with that people also got a first look at the story expansion ‘Claws of Awaji’. The pre-order exclusive DLC will be available sometime after the game releases along with a bonus quest. Overall, the expansion added more than 10 hours of additional story.

The expansion adds a new island, where the story takes place. As per the official description, both the protagonists Naoe and Yasuke are being hunted by someone. Along with the story, players will also unlock a new weapon (Bō) for Naoe where she is spotted using in the short teaser. Yasuke isn’t getting a weapon but players will further unlock new skills, gear, and abilities.

While the expansion itself is free, players will need to pre-purchase the game, even if it’s just a single day in advance. However, this is where trust issues among the gaming community and Ubisoft kicks in. Ubisoft, over the last few years, has lost a lot of trust from gamers.

A lot is riding on Assassin's Creed Shadows success for Ubisoft as the company. One way Ubisoft could have done that is to provide the free expansion not just for pre-orders, but for every purchase. The last thing players want is FOMO from a company looking to win their trust back.

Assassin's Creed Shadows to feature permanent Ray Tracing

Another important thing Ubisoft revealed is the PC specifications people will need to run the game. As expected, people will need a decent system to run the game properly as there is permanent Ray Tracing inside the game. There is a selective option but players will have to run the game at 30fps.

The game saw a second delay on release this month and will not be released on March 20th instead on February 14th. The general impressions compared to the first reveal are much better and Ubisoft may have put an effort in the game this time.
