Assassin’s Creed Shadows shows another delay just a month ahead of release with an official post from Ubisoft revealing that the game will now release on March 20. The previous release was on February 14, however, the game reportedly needs a bit more fixes to address the issues and implement changes based on feedback from playtesters.

This is the second delay for the game which was originally supported to launch last year. Previously, the studio claimed they wanted to iron out a few things to give players the best experience. This time, Executive Producer for Assassin’s Creed, Marc-Alexis Côté revealed the team needs a few more weeks to work on feedback.

“Each week has brought valuable feedback from our community. While we’ve already made remarkable strides, we believe a few additional weeks are needed to implement that feedback and ensure an even more ambitious and engaging day-one experience,” he said.

Ubisoft has recently shared new gameplay footage from the game which reveals a lot of improvement in movement and combat. It seems that the company is doing its best to get out of the current situation which may finally give players a good game. More details regarding the same will also be revealed in the coming weeks.

A good decision to delay by Ubisoft?

Apart from all the fixes Ubisoft claims need to be done, February was already shaping up to be quite the competitive month to release Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Many anticipated games are set to release in February including Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, Sid Meier's Civilization VII, Avowed, and Monster Hunters Wilds.

Released in between these games will likely result in a big hit across sales considering the current reputation for Ubisoft games. So yeah, if Ubisoft can make Assassin’s Creed Shadows something players want, a delay is likely the best way forward. In fact, some of the best games have taken years to come out.
