Critic reviews for Assassin’s Creed Shadows are in, and they’re what everyone expected. Setting a score of 80+ on Metacritic, the game does seem to have some interesting things going on. Naoe has been called the game's saving grace and a fun character to play. On the other hand, the same type of praise didn't come for Yasuke.

This huge difference is likely due to both characters having a completely different gameplay style; however, people are free to play however they like, as shown in the recent gameplay by Ubisoft. While the preference will depend on the player, the stealth aspect was heavily praised by everyone.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is off to a good start

The review score is a bit higher for Assassin’s Creed Shadows compared to the last few releases like Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Star Wars Outlaws. At this point, these reviews can either align between both the audience and critics scores or they can also see a heavy difference after the game releases on March 20th.

Those who love exploring and doing side quests will not be disappointed as the game features some incredible visuals and loads of side activities. On the other hand, there seem to be some complaints over the main story which is compared to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in terms of bloat. This can make the fans feel a bit disappointed, however, there are simply what the critics think and people may enjoy the game.
