Asmongold clashes with Elon Musk over suspicious Path of Exile 2 gameplay

Following multiple allegations that Elon Musk was playing Path of Exile 2 on a boosted account, a new controversy arises between the billionaire and popular Twitch streamer Asmongold. This started after Asmongold made comments on the situation and called out to Elon what he thought happened. This did not sit well with Elon.

A week ago, popular streamer Quinrex, aka Quin69, analysed a recent stream by Elon Musk and criticised his gameplay. Several other streamers also shared their views as the gameplay was filled with red flags all around. Among them was Asmongold, who challenged Elon to prove that he is as good as he claims and if true, he would stream exclusively on X for an entire year.

Elon’s response to this was to leak a DM between the two claiming he is not his own man and has to ‘ask permission from his boss’ before doing anything. The image showcased a conversation between the two regarding video editors and things.

Asmongold responds to the accusations

Elon then said he has ‘hundreds of streams’ across YouTube and Twitch playing with some of the best players and went on to call Asmongold all talk, who makes fun of people and isn’t good at playing games himself.

No other way to say this, but, while Asmon IS good at caustic commentary and making fun of people, he is NOT good at video games 🤷‍♂️

The response from Asmongold wasn’t too big but the non-gamer part did seem to hurt the nerd who has invested a good amount of his life playing MMOs and various other games. “Leaking my DMs is one thing but this is absolutely uncalled for,” he said.

As one would expect, Elon’s posts were promptly community-noted, revealing Asmongold’s achievement across World of Warcraft. Quin69, who first analysed Elon’s gameplay, also stood in support of his fellow streamer, saying, “You were boosted by the world's best players in D4*. Asmon is 100X the gamer you will ever be, Elon Musk. Cope harder.”
