The most recent Xbox Partner Preview showed some great games that surely hyped up the fans. From horror games to cozy titles, there were a lot of announcements during the event, along with new trailers from the upcoming titles. Many of the games will be available this year, while the rest are coming in 2025 which is also shaping up to be an incredible year for gaming.
Here are the major reveals at the 2024 Xbox Partner Preview
1. Alan Wake 2: The Lake House
Following the initial reveal, fans once again got a fresh look at The Lake House Expansion for Alan Wake 2. This one will connect players to the Federal Bureau of Control, connecting the stories for Alan Wake and Control for possible future collaborations.
2. Animal Well
The beautiful indie title developed by Billy Basso and published by Dunkey’s Bigmode is now also on Xbox. Taking less than 40 MB of space, the game was an absolute hit among gamers thanks to its beautiful environments, clever puzzles, secrets, and great exploration.

3. Cronos: The New Dawn
Bloober Team is planning to take the success of Silent Hill 2 Remake forward with their new IP in the horror franchise. Cronos is set around an alternate Poland from 1980 following a pandemic that created new horrors.
4. Blindfire
A new entry in the Cyberpunk first-person shooter genre but multiplayer and, as the name suggests players fight in a dark environment lit only by neon graffiti and occasional lighting. Players can play solo or team up with friends, the game is a fun, challenging PvP experience. It is currently available in early access.
5. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
The famous JRPG series ‘Like a Dragon’ is getting a new entry and similar to the other titles, this one turns the goofiness to 12. Featuring Goro Majima, players will now transition from a Japanese gang member to a pirate. The game will be released in February 2025.
6. FBC: Firebreak
Speaking of Control and Alan Wake, players also saw another title developed in the same universe. Set before the events of Control, Players are put in the shoes of agents working at the Federal Bureau of Control and act as the first respondents. The game will also feature co-op with up to two more friends.
7. Subnautica 2
The popular underwater survival game Subnautica is finally getting a sequel in 2025. The premier gave fans a first look at the new underwater world, which was both beautiful and terrifying at the same time. Fans are also getting co-op in the sequel to explore the depths with a friend.
8. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
First announced during the Xbox Games Showcase 2024, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is another soulslike game based around the late Ming Dynasty. This time it showcased a lot more action, including general combat and boss fights. The game is set to release in 2025.
9. Edens Zero
Anime fans rejoice as the popular manga and anime, Edens Zero by Hiro Mashima is getting a video game entry with the same name. Players will set on a journey to find the cosmic entity, Mother, while also recruiting other characters along the way. The game is set to release in 2025.
10. Mistfall Hunter
An online game with an extraction genre, Mistfall Hunter adds a totally new formula to the mix by removing all the guns. Featuring a souls-like combat, including melee and magic, the game also brings a fantasy theme and looks quite interesting. The game is currently in closed beta.
11. Eternal Strands
Cel shaded action-RPG game by developers who previously worked on Dragon Age, and Assassin’s Creed, the initial impression of Eternal Strands was like Dragon’s Dogma meets Spellbreak. Featuring huge boss fights and spell mix and match, the game is set to release in early 2025.
12. The Legend of Baboo
Want to go on an epic adventure with a dog, The Legend of Baboo has got you covered. The upcoming action-adventure title showcased some beautiful set pieces and puzzles. Players take the role of a child Sepehr who is out on a quest with his dog Baboo.
Apart from that, fans also got to see the new look for Mouse: P.I, a noir-themed old-school Disney-style cartoon game set to release in 2025. Phasmophobia will also be available on Xbox soon, while Wheel World aka Ghost Bike, an exploration-racing game, saw a new trailer showing new worlds and an incredible soundtrack.
