Black Myth Wukong is one of the hottest games this year and just a week ahead of its release on August 20th, it is now on the top of the best-seller charts on Steam. The game has now taken over the likes of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2.

Pre-orders for the game went live on June 7 and the game climbed to the top rather quickly. The general gameplay seemed soul-like, with the lore rooted in Chinese mythology. A recent trailer showcased multiple dynamic locations, different types of enemies and bosses along with some of the best-looking combat that got the players hyped even further.

Black Myth Wukong

Black Myth Wukong kind of fills the void for players wanting more games like Elden Ring. The Shadow of the Erdtree release this year was highly praised and brought back almost the entire player base. This game is also expected to reach similar heights on release.

However, do note that the game requires a whooping 130GB of free space on an SSD Drive, meaning players who like to have several games installed at a time will have to say goodbye to a few of those if they plan on starting their Journey To The West.

Can your PC run Black Myth Wukong?

With all the showcase and gameplay for Black Myth Wukong, many players are also worried if their PC can run the game or not due to such high-end graphics. While the recommended specifications do say RTX 2060 or RX 5700 XT is recommended with DLSS and FSR, players lack confidence with how bad the optimizations are these days.

However, those who are doubtful can now use the new Black Myth Wukong Benchmark Tool released by the developers. This Benchmark Tool can help players know what type of performance their PC will provide through a real-time rendering of an in-game sequence. Players can also customize settings to try different combinations for further optimization. In fact, the benchmark tool has more players than many other live service games.
