A new MMO in PlayStation’s Horizon series is rumoured to be releasing soon

A new Job listing at Guerrilla Games has now sparked another rumour regarding the next game in the Horizon series that is set to release in 2025. As per the listing, the studio is looking for an intern for the QA Team and will be trained in practical and theoretical knowledge regarding the game before launch.

First spotted by Jorraptor in X, the post revealed that one of the requirement for the internship is the availability during first half of 2025. This brought up the presumption that the said game will be release in the second half of 2025, although an official announcement is yet to come.

Guerrilla is looking for an intern to help out with the online project during 'the first half of 2025' and they’ll acquire 'both theoretical knowledge and practical experience to ensure the game is prepared for launch'.

Reports on an MMO game set in the Horizon universe were making rounds across social media since quite some time. The game is reportedly being developed by NCSoft in partnership with Sony, who has already laid out their plans to make live service games.

Helldivers 2 and Concord were among the first of the live service entries, and fans are expecting the upcoming game to be another attempt. However, since there is no information regarding the game, it is hard to tell if everything is connected or multiple projects being worked on by different studios.

Will the new Horizon game coincide with GTA 6?

Horizon games have a decent fan following thanks to its detailed environment. Most recently, Sony released a remastered version of the game, upgrading visuals and other things. Fans were quite surprised to see Guerrilla Games in action so soon.

Few people are even making fun of the presumed release window, as the Horizon series is known to have some questionable release dates which are close to some of the biggest games releasing that year. The second half of 2025 will also see GTA 6 likely release on consoles, making things tough for the upcoming Horizon game.
