WATCH: Virat Kohli tells Sanju Samson to check his heartbeat during RCB vs RR game

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Rajasthan Royals in an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. They chased down the 174-run target with nine wickets remaining and 15 balls to spare with an unbeaten 62-run performance off 45 balls from Virat Kohli.

However, during the match, Kohli caused his supporters and well-wishers serious concern on Sunday when he had his heartbeat checked during their IPL 2025 match against the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.

Virat Kohli looked in a struggle in the heat in Jaipur. On the fourth delivery bowled by Wandindu Hasaranga in the fifteenth over, Kohli sprinted back for two runs. After running two runs, Virat Kohli looked tired and checked his heartbeat. Later, he requested Sanju Samson, the captain of the Rajasthan Royals, to check his heartbeat. On the stump mic, Kohli was heard saying, "Heartbeat check karna. (Check my heartbeat)." To this, the Rajasthan Royals wicketkeeper replied, "Theek hai. (It's okay)."

Virat Kohli and the RCB decided to strategically take a time out as soon as the 15th over was done to give the batsmen a chance to get energy and some time to take a breath. However, RCB won the match as Virat Kohli put on a strong show with the bat. Following the defeat to RCB, Rajasthan Royals skipper Samson gave credit to Phil Salt and Virat Kohli for providing the visitors a strong start in the powerplay. Phil Salt and Kohli scored 92 runs for the first wicket.

Virat Kohli became the second batter to reach 100 half-centuries in all T20s during his undefeated 62-run innings. Warner is at the top of the charts with 108 fifties in the shortest format. The right-hander Phil Salt, who scored 65 runs off 33 balls, was the RCB's most impressive player throughout the chase.
