Mumbai Indians star player Tilak Varma's love for the new game of pickleball seems to have drawn the attention of the fans. The star batter seems to burst into the pickleball court whenever he gets free time from cricket. The left-handed batter was seen engaging in a fun pickleball match and showing his skills against South Indian superstar Vijay Deverakonda ahead of their game against Gujarat Titans.

The two stars were seen engaging in a fun battle. The left-handed batter, was being a fierce competitor, who refused to take the game against the actor lightly. After playing the game, the actor eventually emerged the champion against Tilak Varma with a 2-1 scoreline. The 22-year-old cricketer now ensures Vijay wears the Mumbai Indians jersey in their next game against Gujarat Titans in Wankhede Cricket Stadium, Mumbai. The fans have hailed these cricketers' calm and composed game and widely shared this clip on social media.

Tilak Varma said, "We have a bet. If we lose, we have to do something for Vijay Anna," to this,  Actor Vijay said, "If we win, I will wear Mumbai Indians jersey."

Meanwhile, this was not the first time the cricketer has played pickleball. The southpaw was seen involving himself in recreational pickleball activities with former MI skipper Rohit Sharma and some of the team's teammates.

It's worth noting that this sport has been gaining popularity in India, with many celebrities leading the way in promoting this pickleball. This sport requires minimal training to get started, which is the main reason for its popularity.
