Star Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer was seen rolling his arms during the ongoing Buchi Babu tournament. Interestingly, he imitated the bowling action of his Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) teammate Sunil Narine. The video of the same has gone viral on social media with fans coming up with hilarious comments.

Iyer, representing Mumbai, was given the bowl in the 90th over of the TNCA XI's batting innings. The middle-order batter held the ball behind his back and ran up to the bowling crease, just like the mystery West Indies spinner. He conceded just one run in the first five balls, but TNCA batter Sonu Yadav hit him for a six in the last ball.

Iyer seems to be a big fan of Narine's bowling action

This is not the first time that Iyer has imitated Narine's bowling action. The 29-year-old, who led KKR to their third Indian Premier League (IPL) title in the 2024 edition, was seen emulating his teammate's action ahead of their match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The Kolkata-based franchise had shared a video on their X handle on May 25.

It is noteworthy that Narine was the main force behind KKR's success in the last edition. The former Windies cricketer made significant contributions in both departments. Batting as an opener, the southpaw slammed 488 runs at a staggering strike rate of 180.74, including a hundred. He also took 17 wickets to grab the ‘Player of the Series’ award.

Apart from Iyer, new T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav also joined the Mumbai side for the final group match of the Buchi Babu tournament. Pradosh Ranjan Paul, Baba Indrajith, R Sai Kishore, Sarfaraz Khan, Musheer Khan, and Shams Mulani were the other notable stars who played in the match between Mumbai and TNCA XI.
