Rishabh Pant is one of those players who is absolutely versatile in all the departments of the game. He can bat and keep from behind the stumps quite gracefully. But in the match against Australia in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, Pant faced a disappointed Rohit Sharma as the keeper failed to catch the ball. In Jasprit Bumrah's first over, Mitchell Marsh played a pull shot, but the ball didn't connect, so it went up in the air.
While it was at a catchable distance, Pant stumbled and failed to reach the ball on time, so Marsh survived. This wasn't a good sign for India since the Australians are known to smash the Indians during important matches. So, skipper Rohit didn't appreciate how Pant failed to catch the ball and got furious with him.

This game might not be essential for India, but Australia has to win the match to qualify for the semifinals. Afghanistan will be hoping for the Aussies to lose, making their road to qualify a bit easier. However, it's the Australian team we are talking about. They know how to match from difficult positions, and they'll surely try to pull off a win against India.
Travis Head onto disappointing India yet again
Travis Head has a different love affair with India, as he leaves no chance of scoring against them. In this match, Head also scored a beautiful half-century in just 25 balls, including three huge sixes and seven boundaries. He should be proud of this is undoubtedly one of his best T20I innings. He is superb while playing against India, and once again, he's on the way to winning the match.
While chasing a target of 206 runs, at the end of 10 overs, Australia were 99 for 2. Along with Head, Mitchell Marsh scored 37 runs off 28 balls, including three boundaries and two sixes. Australia is heading toward a sweet victory, and after this, they'll have to wait for Afghanistan's defeat against Bangladesh to qualify for the semifinals.
