The India vs Australia clash is always the best game for viewers to watch. This time, skipper Rohit Sharma made it a point that India doesn't repeat the mistakes they did seven months ago. He started from where he left off and smashed the Australian bowling attack in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. In this match, Rohit smashed a lot of sixes, but one six landed on the roof of the stadium.

While playing against Pat Cummins, Rohit went over the midwicket and hit a 103-meter six. With that six, he reached the rare feat of completing 200 sixes in T20Is. He became the first player to achieve this feat, which is appreciation-worthy. In the entire innings of 92 runs off 47 balls, Rohit hit seven boundaries and eight sixes which showed his intent in today's game.

India batted beautifully against the Australian bowling attack, scoring a massive score of 205 runs in 20 overs. After Rohit, Suryakumar Yadav took the responsibility on his shoulders and scored 31 runs off 16 balls, including three boundaries and two huge sixes. After that, Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya hit a few sixes, helping India reach a huge total.

A must-win game for Australia

This game has become tougher for Australia now that India has scored 205 runs. While it was already a must-win game for them, a win would have done the job. However, if they lose this by a huge margin, then it will become easy for Afghanistan to win the match against Bangladesh and qualify for the semifinals.

The calculations are pretty simple from here on. If the Men in Yellow defeat India, they'll have a total of four points. In the case of Afghanistan, they'll have to beat Bangladesh by a huge margin to qualify for the semifinals. However, if Australia loses this match, Afghanistan will just have to win the match to qualify. Two team's destiny depends upon Australia now and thus, this encounter becomes extremely important.
