Jasprit Bumrah is not available for the ODI series against England as he continues to recover from his back injury which happened in the last Test match against Australia in BGT. However, team India is hoping that Bumrah will make a comeback ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy which will take place in Dubai.
Gautam Gambhir wants India to play "aggressive brand" of cricket
Gautam Gambhir, the head coach, stated that he wants India to continue their success in T20Is by playing an "aggressive brand" of cricket in ODIs."Just try and play as aggressively as we can. I think that we want to entertain the crowd. We want to entertain, we want to play that high risk cricket," Gambhir told the broadcasters after the match. Since becoming the coach of the India team Gautam Gambhir has to win an ODI series. His first assignment as coach saw India lose the ODI series against Sri Lanka.
On Thursday, February 6, India will play England in their first One-Day International at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur. The three-match series against England will be important for India to prepare for the ICC Champions Trophy.
