In an incredible display of athleticism, the rising star of Indian cricket, Musheer Khan, took a stunning catch in the Duleep Trophy 2024 match. His spectacular fielding effort aided in India B’s process to restrict India A from going past their first innings score of 321.

The Shubman Gill-led India A put in a collective batting effort but none of the batsmen could convert their scores into a big one. In fact, not a single batter touched the 40-run mark. They needed some contribution from the tailenders to reduce the deficit and right-arm pacer Akash Deep did a bit before being dismissed by Mukesh Kumar.

With the gate open to the lower order, India B captain Abhimanyu Easwaran decided to place a fielder at short leg position and gave the responsibility to Musheer Khan. Deep tried to flick a medium-pace delivery by Mukesh in the 72nd over but it ended up getting an edge of the bat and hit the thigh pad.

Musheer Khan was the engineer behind India B's competitive 321 in the first innings. They were struggling at 94-7 at one stage. Musheer then played a warrior knock (181 off 373 balls) to get them out of trouble. Navdeep Saini also played a significant role with his half-century.

Meanwhile, India B are struggling in the second innings. Once again open Yashasvi Jaiswal and captain Easwaran failed to find runs. There were no heroics from Musheer either as the right-hander was dismissed for a six-ball duck. Interestingly, it was Akash Deep who took his wicket.
