In the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024, the 19-year-old Musheer Khan went on to hit 181 runs off 373 balls, including 16 boundaries and five sixes against Team India A. It's one of the most beautiful knocks in the history of the game and will be remembered for a really long time. The century broke the 33-year-old record of Sachin Tendulkar in the Duleep Trophy.

Musheer became the fourth highest-scorer on Duleep Trophy debut, while Sachin, on his debut, scored a brilliant 159, playing for West Zone against East Zone in 1991. It was a match-saving century for Musheer, who saw his team struggling from one end. Moreover, he was assisted by Navdeep Saini from one end, and both players went on to put together a 200-run partnership.

The lower-order batters showed great intent in the match and helped the team pass 321 runs in the first innings. Apart from Musheer, Jaiswal, and Saini, no other batter passed the 20-run mark, which is quite embarrassing. Akash Deep claimed four wickets and Avesh Khan and Khaleel Ahmed took two wickets each.

This is the second time I've faced Kuldeep bhai: Musheer Khan

The young and talented batter of India Team B, Musheer Khan praised Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill for his brilliant performance against Kuldeep Yadav. He's one of the best bowlers and hitting him for boundaries is a huge thing for a 19-year-old player. But he managed to understand the balls and play accordingly which shows his knowledge of the game and the bowler as well. Musheer is a solid player in red-ball cricket and might have come under the selector's radar as well.

"This is the second time I've faced Kuldeep bhai. Rishabh bhai and Shubman bhai gave me insights into which deliveries from Kuldeep would be effective and which ones I could score off. Once I got set, batting became easier," said Musheer Khan as quoted by India Today.
