The Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru faced off on Monday, April 7, at the Wankhede Stadium. The Indians won the toss and chose to play, and Jasprit Bumrah made his first appearance since his back injury in January 2025. But Virat Kohli had all eyes on him as the batter hit 50 runs. However, Hardik Pandya grabbed two back-to-back wickets of Virat and Liam Livingstone which helped Mumbai Indians to get back in the game.
Virat was looking in good touch untill Hardik Pandya came to bowl the 14th over in the going game. In his first ball of the second over he got the wicket of Virat Kohli as Naman Dhir caught him in the deep mid-wicket area. By the 14th over, the RCB was well above 140.

Hardik Pandya reaches 200th wicket mark in T20
Pandya's dismissal of two prominent batsmen, Virat Kohli and Liam Livingstone, in the same over. Notably, Hardik reached 200 T20 wickets with the wicket of Liam Livingstone. In T20 cricket, Hardik also made history by being the first Indian player to reach 5000+ runs and claim 200 wickets.
All in all, the MI captain is the 12th cricket player to do this. Regarding the current game, Hardik had a bad day overall with the ball, scoring 23 runs in his last over and recording a period of 45/2 after his four overs. RCB managed to score 221 runs on the scoreboard.
