Pakistan's former captain, Moin Khan, has taken a dig at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as they have reportedly decided to not send the Indian team to play the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. The tournament is scheduled in Pakistan, and the Indian Board, along with the Indian government, is concerned about players' safety keeping the political relationships with the neighbours in mind.

Hence, the Board is reluctant to send the players. Instead, they have proposed to get a neutral venue for the tournament where India can play. However, Moin demanded that the PCB should take strict action against the Indian team if they refused to travel to Pakistan.

Khan has also urged the Pakistan Board to refrain from playing any tournament involving India in the future. This isn't the first time the former Pakistani players have spoken up or urged India to visit the neighboring state. The Indian government over everything is likely to not allow the players to go and play in Pakistan no matter who says what.

"India ought to honour its commitments with the ICC. And if they do not come, then Pakistan should reconsider its decision to participate in any future events slated to be held in India," said Moin Khan while talking to Cricket Pakistan.

Cricket should not be obstructed by political issues: Moin Khan

Calling out India for withdrawal from the Champions Trophy wasn't enough for Moin Khan as he went on to drag legendary India batter Sachin Tendulkar into the matter without any relevance. He also mentioned that cricket shouldn't be involved in politics and that the players should be allowed to travel to all the countries that will benefit both cricket and the fans.

However, he forgot to add the safety aspect of the game and how much the Indian players mean to the country. Hence, letting them go to a country like Pakistan will not happen until the relationship become light in the future.

"People like Sachin Tendulkar should tell their cricket-controlling body to keep politics away from cricket. Cricket should not be obstructed by political issues. The sport and its fans stand to benefit greatly from matches between India and Pakistan," added Khan.
