At Providence Stadium, David Miller unleashed his power during the Barbados Royals vs. Trinbago Knight Riders Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 Eliminator. Miller was coming up against a revised target of 60 in just five overs, and he hit 50 off just 17 balls for the Royals. Given that David Miller hit back-to-back sixes against Terrance Hinds in the last over, it is understandable why the Royals achieved the mark with four balls remaining.
Crucially, though, David Miller, who often maintains his composure on the pitch, was unable to contain his happiness. Before the lights went out, the Trinbago Knight Riders, who had won the toss, had batted first and amassed 168/3 from 19.1 overs. Kieron Pollard, the captain, and Andre Russell provided assistance towards the end of the innings with 17 and 20 runs, respectively, but Nicholas Pooran led them with a magnificent 91 not out off 60 balls.

Barbados Royals locks their spot in Qualifier 2
Quinton de Kock was dismissed by Sunil Narine with the third ball of the first over, a brilliantly flighted delivery that took the bails and confused the batsman. Before, David Miller smashed a massive six over midwicket with the following delivery after the wicket, after de Kock had clobbered the ball for four runs.
After the Knight Riders' hopes ended by two tremendous sixes, the middle-order South African batter showed off his strength. After a thrilling night in Guyana, David Miller won Player of the Match and guaranteed Barbados Royals a spot in the second elimination round. The Royals' locker room was electric as well, having advanced to Qualifier 2, where the losing teams from Qualifier 1 Guyana Amazon Warriors and Saint Lucia Kings will square off.
