After Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won the 52nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by a margin of just two runs, a video of a CSK supporter carrying a poster of MS Dhoni fighting with two Royal Challengers Bengaluru supporters outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, went viral on social media. However, it looked like an RCB fan was trolling the CSK supporter after the big win against the MS Dhoni-led side.
The enthusiasm was evident outside the stadium, and police had to step in after the three got into a brawl. The two sides appeared to blame one another for potential remarks, even though it was unclear what the argument was over. The game, which was one of the greatest battles of the year, left all of the supporters overjoyed till the last ball of the game.

Talking about the match, Virat Kohli and Jacob Bethell's initial assault with the bat, and Romario Shepherd's late attack helped RCB establish a solid target. But CSK's 17-year-old Ayush Mhatre had his answers ready, keeping the whole Chinnaswamy crowd standing with their hands on their heads. Later, Shivam Dube came to bat in the last over, when the team needed only 12 runs to win the game. CSK even got closer to the target when he hit six on the no-ball. At that time, CSK needed only six runs from three balls, but the team failed to capitalise and lost the game by only two runs.
Rajat Patidar, leader of RCB, is taking bold moves in the direction of one of their most successful IPL seasons after finishing their first-ever double against CSK. Although RCB is back at the top of the table, the match against CSK revealed that they need to improve in many areas if they want to have a perfect run to the finals.
MS Dhoni blames himself for the loss
However, after the match, MS Dhoni shared his view on the game and stated a few key points about the game. "When I went into bat, with the kind of deliveries and runs needed, I felt I should have converted a couple more shots to ease the pressure, so I take the blame for it," he said. "We got off to a good start, and in between we pulled things back. But that final onslaught from Romario Shepherd was crucial."
