WATCH: Virat Kohli names toughest bowlers to face across all formats of the game

Former India skipper and batting stalwart, Virat Kohli, revealed the names of the toughest bowlers he has ever faced in his illustrious cricketing career, across all formats of the game.

Former India skipper and the modern-day batting legend, Virat Kohli, is currently active for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2025). He has been in an amazing run of form in the tournament’s current season, being the leading run-scorer for his side in the tournament.

Meanwhile, Kohli also revealed the names of the toughest bowlers he has ever faced in his illustrious cricketing career, across all formats of the game. Kohli was recently in a public interaction, where he named the toughest bowlers to face.

Kohli named James Anderson a ‘big challenge’ to deal with, especially in the English conditions, where he also named the toughest bowlers he faced in ODI and T20 cricket.

“In Test cricket, James Anderson in England, by far the toughest. T20 cricket, I think Sunil Narine, for consistent amount of time [15 years], still very difficult to pick this guy but I can’t pick him and ODI cricket, I think [Lasith] Malinga was pretty good, he was difficult to face, Adil Rashid is very good, he is probably the toughest,” said Kohli during an RCB event ahead of team’s clash against CSK in the 52nd match of the ongoing IPL 2025. 

Speaking of Virat Kohli’s performance in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2025, he has scored 443 runs in 10 innings, with an amazing batting average of 63.28, hitting six half-centuries. He is also in the list of the top-five run-scorers in the tournament. Notably, the 36-year-old has also become the only batter in the history of the Indian Premier League to score 400+ runs in 11 different editions of the tournament.  

Kohli will be in action for his side in the upcoming game against the Chennai Super Kings at RCB’s home ground, the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
