India and Australia are taking on each other in the ongoing last super-8 match of their campaign in the current edition of the T20 World Cup 2024. The men in blue posted a big total of 205 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs courtesy of skipper Rohit Sharma’s explosive 92 runs off just 41 balls, with 7 fours and 8 sixes.

However, Australia sensationally started the run-chase after losing the veteran opener David Warner early in the first over. Meanwhile, the star India all-rounder Axar Patel took a stunning catch to dismiss the set batter and Aussie skipper, Mitchell Marsh and break his dangerous partnership with opener Travis Head.

It was on the last ball of the 9th over when Kuldeep Yadav was bowling to Mitchell Marsh; the latter played a pull-sweep after getting down on his back knee. The ball went straight towards Axar Patel and he jumped at the right time to grab the ball single-handedly to produce a crucial breakthrough for India.

Speaking of the action of the match at the time of filing this copy, Australia had scored 128 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 13.1 overs while chasing the target. The star opener Travis Head was unbeaten in the middle at an individual score of 63 runs, with Maxwell getting trapped in a clean bowled by India’s Kuldeep Yadav just a few minutes back.
