Due to the alarming weather conditions in Lauderhill, Florida, the 33rd game of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 got abandoned, with both teams sharing one point each. With this game getting abandoned, the picture has also been cleared in Group A as the co-hosts USA have qualified for the super-8 stage of the tournament.

Now, United States of America are in the second spot of the Group A points table, with 5 points, including 2 wins and 1 defeat in the 4 matches they have played so far, with one game getting washed out against Ireland.

Babar Azam-led Pakistan will also take on Ireland in their last group-stage match at the same venue; however, that match will be a dead rubber as both Ireland and Pakistan have been knocked out of the tournament with two defeats each on their names.
