'I didn't know him personally...' - USA's Saurabh Netravalkar reveals Virat Kohli's reaction after getting him on golden duck in T20 World Cup 2024

The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 has turned out to be an excellent place for scouting talents worldwide. Teams like the USA have some brilliant players, including batters and bowlers, who showcased their talent in the ongoing tournament. Moreover, as a team, the USA performed really well, won two out of three matches, and put up a tough fight against India.

One of the US' star bowlers, Saurabh Netravalkar, dismissed Virat Kohli on a golden duck, and the batters' reaction was priceless. In a press conference, Netravalkar revealed Kohli's reaction after dismissing him. Moreover, Netravalkar also mentioned his relationship with Suryakumar Yadav. 

"I am just happy that I can pursue both my passions. It is all happening very fast and I am in the process of digesting it. These last two games were really high-profile. It was an emotional moment to get Virat's wicket. I was looking to hit off-stump and it worked out well. I know Surya from my U-15, U-17 days, we were talking about our dressing-room banter. I didn't know Virat personally but he did congratulate me," said Saurabh Netravalkar at the press conference. 

India qualifies for Super 8

After winning three back-to-back games in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, India finally qualifies for the Super 8. They played really well but struggled due to the pitches at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York. India's bowling attack helped the team get past the victory line as Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Axar Patel were excellent throughout the matches. 

They maintained their line and length and got wickets of the batters. The pitches didn't favor the batters much, so they couldn't score many runs. India's openers haven't played any good innings yet, but in the upcoming matches, hopefully, they'll get back in form and start getting some runs for the team. The matches will get challenging, considering the competition that will arise in the latter half of the tournament.
