Babar Azam has been getting slammed from all corners for Pakistan’s disastrous show during the T20 World Cup. The team has won just one game and lost two matches to be pushed to brink of elimination from the tournament in the group phases.

Out of favor Pakistan batter Ahmer Shehzad was recently on a show where he vented his ire at the Pakistani skipper. The former opener in-fact went onto question Babar Azam and his intent with the bat during the tournament.

Ahmed Shehzad said “Your strike rate is 112 and average is 26. You haven't hit a single six in 207 balls in the Powerplay. I admit I could've improved on my own performances 8 years ago, but your stats are even worse. You are worse than me, but you are king. You're a fraud king”

Pakistan’s disastrous showing during the T20 World Cup has seen many vent their ire on Babar Azam. The Pakistani skipper was called out for his slow batting against USA in their opening encounter. The knives were out when Pakistan couldn’t chase down a target of 120 against India and lost from a seemingly strong position.

Ahmed Shehzad also said “He could not bring any trophy for Pakistan. After that you have ruined the entire domestic structure, you are such a captain, you cannot unconventionally run the domestic team to bring in your friends”

The ex-Pakistani star also said “If you cannot do anything then you can at least do this much that now you should raise your hands and say that I had all the support, PCB gave me everything, but I could not deliver, I got the players of my choice but I could not deliver for Pakistan, I am really really sorry, I am responsible,”

Babar Azam had opened with Mohammad Rizwan in the first two games. In the match against Canada, the Pakistan skipper decided to mover down to number 3 and slot Saim Ayub as the opener

During his rant on the TV show, Ahmed Shehzad called out the Pakistani skipper for his mis-management of Saim Ayub “It was your responsibility to take care of Saim Ayub's development, but now his career is over at such a young age. People are criticising Ayub after just 25 games”
