India's star all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin lashed out at the Pakistan team for their ongoing turmoil, which is never-ending. After an unsuccessful T20 World Cup 2024 stint, Babar Azam resigned from the captaincy, and this was the 2nd time he did something like this. Speaking about the situation in the Pakistan team, Ashwin referred to them as musical chairs as the captaincy position keeps changing with time. A video went viral where Ashwin was talking about Babar and the team's condition.

"Sometimes, their whole musical chairs situation is truly something. The music keeps playing, and they just think about grabbing a chair; that's how it feels. In the 2023 World Cup, they lost, and then Babar (Azam) resigned. And look at the situation now – Pakistan hasn't won a Test match at home. I mean, they haven't won a Test match for a long time, maybe around 1000 days. It's been almost 3 years," said Ravichandran Ashwin.

After Babar's resignation, Mohammad Rizwan stands as the best contender for the captaincy position, as he has ample experience as a player on the team and has played some good knocks in the past. Rizwan is one of the best players on the team and was also the skipper in the Champions One Day Cup 2024.

Should I focus on my game or on the team?: Ravichandran Ashwin

Ravichandran Ashwin also spoke about a strong point that the Pakistan players tend to play for themselves rather than their team. This has been seen in multiple occasions as well and hence, the team doesn't have any coordination within themselves, losing matches and having internal fights have become a common practice among the players. As per Ashwin, the dressing room atmosphere is absolutely important for a cricketer's mental health which is almost ruined within the Pakistan team.

"What would I think as a cricketer? Should I focus on my game or on the team? Every cricketer will be so unstable inside the dressing room that he will start thinking about himself and will think less about the team," added Ashwin.
