CSK posted a video of an interview with Samson, where the conversation was revealed. The star player added that just thinking about the prospect of his dream coming true makes him happy. He claimed that destiny brought him closer to his dream.

"I had a dream to share a dressing room with Mahi bhai, sit and have breakfast with him, practice with him, and play matches with him. Wow! Just thinking about it makes me very happy. Finally, destiny has brought me to come and play with him. I have been very excited for the last five months," Samson expressed his excitement in the interview.

How did Sanju Samson land in CSK for the IPL 2026?

Samson has been one of the best batters in the IPL in the last few seasons. The star batter had a season with injuries in 2025 and hence, could not play a lot of matches for his side. It even led to a change in captaincy, as Riyan Parag led RR in his absence.

The inaugural champions decided to move on from Samson for the IPL 2026. Reports claimed that many teams were interested in getting him on board, including KKR and CSK.
