RR and CSK confirmed the trade of exchanging Sanju Samson with the duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran for the IPL 2026. Jadeja reacted to his homecoming and claimed it to be a special experience, especially as he won his maiden IPL. The veteran All-rounder hoped to win more titles in his new home with a fresh set of players compared to the one in the past.

Following his move to Rajasthan, Jadeja said that the franchise gave him the launchpad to excel at the highest level. He claimed the Royals not just to be a team, but a home for him. He then hoped to win more titles with the Royals in the future.

"Rajasthan Royals gave me my first platform and my first taste of victory - Coming back feels special - it’s not just a team for me, it’s home. The Rajasthan Royals is where I won my first IPL, and I hope to win more with this current group of players," Jadeja said.

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings released a video where their MD spoke about how hard it was to let go of Jadeja. Kasi Viswanathan regarded Jadeja as one of the key players responsible for CSK's success over the last few years. However, he claimed that the tough decision of leaving him was taken with the mutual agreement from all parties.

"It has been a very tough decision, leaving out Jaddu, who has been responsible for the success of CSK over the years - team management took the toughest decision with a mutual agreement with the players," Viswanathan said in the video released by CSK.
