Ahead of the IPL 2026 auction, Ness Wadia talked about the Punjab Kings' team culture and dressing room environment in the 2025 season. One of the co-owners of PBKS, Wadia, claimed Shreyas Iyer and Ricky Ponting have been responsible for it. He felt there weren't a lot of things they needed to change in their squad ahead of the IPL 2026.
Wadia spoke before representing PBKS in the IPL auction 2026, which is a few weeks away. He felt that the 2025 runner-ups had a very solid team, and there were only a few things they probably needed to solidify. He credited Shreyas Iyer and Ponting for the culture of togetherness.

"We've tried to build a culture of togetherness - We have a good balance and great leaders in Shreyas and Ricky. We don't even really need to go into the auction, but we will to see how to solidify what we already have, which is a very solid team," Wadia said.
How good were the Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025?
2025 turned out to be one of the best seasons in the history of the IPL for the Kings, as they made it to the final only for the second time. Their only other instance of making it to the final was in 2014 under the leadership of George Bailey.

Under Iyer and Ponting, a lot of things changed for the Kings. Things seemed to be in order when the players were on and off the field. While Punjab could not win the title, they would be hoping to go the distance in the 19th edition of the league.
