A CSK official has confirmed that the 5-time champions have approached the Rajasthan Royals regarding a potential trade involving Sanju Samson. The official, whose name was not disclosed, claimed that the inaugural champions have yet to confirm the deal from their end.

It is being claimed that the Royals are taking their time to think over the options. In a recent press conference, the official revealed that CSK is indeed willing to sign Samson on board. The official said that the current trading window before the retention of the players is crucial to get Samson on board.

However, the CSK official said that RR is taking time to weigh in on the options ahead of them. "Everyone knows we are interested in getting Sanju. We have expressed our interest in procuring him in this trading window. RR is yet to confirm, as their management said they are weighing the options. We are hopeful Sanju will play for CSK," the CSK official said.

What's CSK's offer for RR?

As per the reports, CSK has offered a trade of Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran for Sanju Samson. Among them, the former has already played for the Royals before. In fact, Jadeja started his IPL career with Rajasthan before getting picked by Kochi Tuskers Kerala in 2011 and then finding his new home in Chennai.

Along with him, CSK is reportedly willing to give away Sam Curran. While the English star was the Player of the Tournament in the T20 World Cup in 2022, he hasn't delivered a major performance in a tournament since then. Curran can also lead the side, as he captained Punjab Kings in some matches a few seasons ago.
