Following their victory in the final ICC Champions Trophy 2025 against New Zealand, Team India was lavished with flowers, a dhol, and fireworks by the hotel staff as a token of their gratitude to the Men in Blue.Interestingly, India had already played all five of its matches in Dubai, so they supposedly had plenty of time to get to know the hotel personnel. When the Indian cricket team returned to the hotel in Dubai following the festivities and presentations in the stadium, they were greeted with great enthusiasm by the staff.

Video of Indian cricket players and support personnel are seen entering the hotel with the hotel staff lined up on the sides while Indian fans celebrate and play loud music went viral. Although, it wasn't their home field, the crowd made it feel like it. Indian captain Rohit Sharma was also grateful for the support his side received at the Dubai International Stadium during the final.

On Sunday, India won the Champions Trophy for the third time as the Men in Blue managed to chase down 252 runs in 50 overs. Rohit Sharma scored 76 runs to start the innings, but India struggled in the end due to a string of wickets. India reached the finish line with six balls remaining thanks to a 48-run knock from Shreyas Iyer and an undefeated 34 from KL Rahul.

After winning the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 against New Zealand, Rohit Sharma had a press conference and he expressed gratitude for supporting Team India in their journey in the tournament. “I want to appreciate everyone who came out and supported us. The crowd here has been magnificent, it is not our home ground but they made our home ground. The number of people that came here to watch us play, to give them that win was satisfying,” he said.

The Men in Blue, who lost to Australia in the 2023 ODI World Cup final on their field, saw the victory as a kind of vindication.India has won both the Champions Trophy and the 2024 T20 World Cup. They won 23 of the 24 games and have played in the ICC competitions over the past three years, giving them an impressive overall record. Both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have contributed to India's four ICC event titles with Sunday's triumph.
