WATCH: Rohit Sharma's heroics help India win the ICC Champions Trophy 2025

Team India have done it again! Two ICC trophies within a year's span. India have won the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 by defeating New Zealand in the finals by four wickets. The credit goes to Rohit Sharma for leading the team brilliantly throughout the tournament. He played an amazing knock in the finals, scoring 76 runs off 83 balls, including seven boundaries and three sixes. 

The efforts of KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer will always be remembered as they played a sensible knock. It was an extremely important knock from Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel as well. Every contribution mattered today and each player made sure that they did well in the game.

The bowlers did well in the first innings, dismissing New Zealand under 300 runs as the pitch supported the batters. However, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Ravindra Jadeja's heroic bowling helped India take control of the game. This is India's seventh ICC trophy, and there are many more to come. 

Rohit Sharma's match-winning knock helps India win the Champions Trophy

Skipper Rohit Sharma played an incredible knock in the finals. He started charging from the first ball, which was amazing to watch. He gave a brilliant start, took off pressure from Shubman Gill, and scored a brilliant half-century. India had a good depth of batting, which gave Rohit the freedom to play his natural game. 

Virat Kohli got out on just one run, but the youngsters saved the game for the team. This was Kohli and Rohit's fourth ICC title and it was just great to watch them play 'Dandiya' with the stumps after the game. This was an important tournament and the fans will remember it for a long time.
