Rishabh Pant played yet another fabulous knock in the Headingley Test and became the first Indian batter to smash twin hundreds in England. Sunil Gavaskar, who was in the commentary box, asked Pant to pull off his popular Somersault celebration. However, the wicketkeeper batter denied promising to pull it off later and due to the risk involved.

Pant had one of the greatest matches for an Indian player on English soil. In the first innings, the star batter had scored 134 runs in 178 balls, which included 12 fours and 6 sixes. Likewise, in the second innings, the Southpaw scored 118 runs in 140 balls, which included 15 fours and 3 sixes.

The Indian vice-captain seemed to be in great control, as he did not play some risky shots. Unlike his previous version, the current Pant seems to be a controlled version of himself despite playing some risky shots at times. It was one such innings, where he showed his ability to play a fine knock with a lack of unorthodox shots.

The star batter targeted the square region against the pacers. Against spin bowlers, he continued to smash through the V and heavily scored on the leg side.
