Sunil Gavaskar questioned Indian captain Rohit Sharma's intent on the field and how he has been throwing away his wickets in most games. Even in the semi-finals against Australia, Rohit gave two chances to the opponent, but his catches were dropped. In the tournament, he isn't even within the top 15 run scores, which speaks volumes about his current form.

"He also needs to give it some thought. It's one thing to go out and play aggressively, but there has to be a bit of discretion somewhere to give himself the chance to bat for 25-30 overs. If he does that, he takes the game away from the opposition. That kind of impact is match-winning. And I think, as a batter, are you happy with scoring 25-30 runs? You shouldn't be! So that is what I would say to him: your impact on the team will be even greater if you bat for 25 overs instead of just seven, eight, or nine overs," said Sunil Gavaskar, as quoted by India Today.

However, India will need Rohit to perform well in the finals since New Zealand have a good bowling attack and the opening batters will have to score well in the powerplays.

They will not bottle it, they won't choke: Nasser Hussain

England's former cricketer Nasser Hussain backed up the New Zealand team for the upcoming clash against India in the Champions Trophy finals. New Zealand are practicing hard, and Hussain claims that they won't choke this time. Moreover, the Indian batting up is strong, and they can beat the Kiwis in the finals if the top-order performs well.

"They will not bottle it, they won't choke. We were having dinner with [former Australia batter] Aaron Finch, and he summed it up pretty well in saying New Zealand are never a side that beat themselves. And by that, he means that they will rock up, and they will put in a performance," he told Sky Sports.
