Speaking about his knock, the star player said that his focus has always been to win matches for his team. He claimed to be unaware of holding the record of the second fastest fifty for India in T20Is. Pandya added that only got to know after the social media team told him about it.

"Winning games is what you play for and it’s always exciting when your contribution helps the team get over the line. No, I actually didn’t know (Having the second fastest fifty for India in T20Is) until I got out and went back. Our social media guys told me I was the second-fastest," Pandya said in the post-match talk.

"My first reaction was, 'Ah, I missed the top spot!'," - Hardik Pandya

Pandya added that he felt bad that he missed the top spot but was happy for Yuvraj Singh to hold the record. The Indian All-rounder revealed that his focus was to return stronger, better, and make a bigger impact following his break due to an injury.

"My first reaction was, 'Ah, I missed the top spot!' But happy that Yuvi pa holds that record. No matter how many setbacks you face, the aim is to come back stronger, better, and make a bigger impact. When it all comes together, it feels satisfying. But the journey continues - the preparation, the planning, the hard work never stops," Hardik added.
