Rishabh Pant is ruled out due to an ankle injury, leading to Ravindra Jadeja being named the vice captain. While Jasprit Bumrah will play the series, Karun Nair has been dropped, and Abhimanyu Easwaran hasn't received a call-up.
Gill will continue to lead the side, who had a great series in England as a batter. Pant, who was his deputy, suffered an ankle injury, which ruled him out of the Oval Test. Hence, he will miss the entire series against the West Indies. In his absence, Jadeja has been named Gill's deputy for the series.
