Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan appeared in an interview with Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra, which was selectively for the interaction between couples. The former Indian spinner and his wife asked Bumrah and Ganesan to narrate the story of their union. The Indian pacer revealed he proposed to Ganesan when they were in the IPL bio bubbles.

Bumrah claimed that he was with MI and his wife was with KKR in Abu Dhabi, albeit in different bio bubbles. The experienced pacer claimed they did not get chances to spend a lot of time apart from meeting each other in the ground interactions. Bumrah then revealed he had requested the officials for a bubble-to-bubble transfer to propose to Sanjana.

"As luck would have it, she was in KKR, and I was with the Mumbai Indians. Both teams were in Abu Dhabi. I carried a ring in the hope that perhaps after the tournament ends, I'll get a chance. Apart from the ground interactions, we couldn't meet because of the bubble," said Bumnrah in the interview.

The unorthodox pacer added that he arranged for cake, decorated the room, and had the ring ready. Reacting to it, Ganesan revealed how nervous Bumrah was, who could not even wait for her to have a cup of water. 

"So, she was out. Then, I had to tell people 'Look, I've brought this ring. Please arrange a bubble-to-bubble transfer. So, that transfer happened. When she arrived, I did everything myself. I placed the cake myself, decorated everything in my room, and I had the ring ready," Bumrah added.

"I've come to the room and he's telling me, 'Balcony mein chalo (come to the balcony).' I am like, 'I've just walked in, at least give me water. But he's like, 'Nahi nahi balcony mein chalo (No, no come to the balcony)'," Ganesan said as she reacted to the restlessness of her partner.

Bumrah clarified the reason behind it. He claimed that the candles were already lit and the wind kept blowing them out, and there was no room to waste any time. "I had lit candles, and it overlooked the beach, so the wind kept blowing them out. I struggled so much," Bumrah added in his statement.
