Jasprit Bumrah could play the fourth Test of the series between India and England at Old Trafford, Manchester, from July 23 to 27. As per a report from Express Sports, the right-arm pacer is set to feature in India's XI for the fourth Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025. India is in a must-win situation, as they are trailing 1-2 in the series after the first three Tests.
Before the start of the series, Bumrah appeared in an interview on Sky Sports with Dinesh Karthik, where he confirmed that he would play only three of the five Tests against England. The Indian pacer said it was a decision to ensure his workload, as per the instructions from the doctors.

While Bumrah confirmed he would play the Headingley Test, he had not made any decision on the other Tests. Despite India losing in Leeds, Bumrah did not feature in the XI. However, India claimed a thumping win at Edgbaston to level the series 1-1. The unorthodox pacer played the Lord's Test and even made it to the honors board.
India eyeing to level the series 2-2 to make the Oval Test a decider
With India trailing 1-2 in the series, following a 22-run loss in the previous Test at the Home of Cricket, the visiting side is desperate for a win to stay alive in the series. By doing so, the fifth and the last Test of the series would become a decider at The Kennington Oval.

JioHotstar experts like Anil Kumble and Irfan Pathan batted for Bumrah playing the fourth Test for the same reason. While the official confirmation from the Indian team management is yet to be out, given there are six days of time before the start of the Test, it could be in India's best interests for Bumrah to play in Manchester.
