The clash between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is always fun to watch for several reasons, the first being on-field controversies. The 36th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 had some light-hearted and controversial moments that kept the match's heat alive.

While the natural summer heat frustrated the players and the crowd, the exciting game kept them going. Some good and bad performances on the field helped KKR win the match against RCB. It was KKR's day, as they won the game at home, but it wasn't a good outing for the visitors as they lost their seventh game of the tournament. They'll definitely be looking to take the positives from the game to move ahead in the tournament.

Let's look at the top worst performances of the KKR vs RCB match in IPL 2024:

5. Karn Sharma

Karn Sharma

Being the only spinner on the team, Karn Sharma's responsibility has increased tremendously. However, considering his bowling performance recently, he hasn't been able to do much justice to his role. In this match as well, in the spell of four overs, he went for 33 runs but failed to get any wickets. While the batters enjoyed batting against him, Sharma's lengths and variations weren't impressive either. However, he did give his best with the bat after scoring 20 runs off seven balls.

4. Angkrish Raghuvanshi

Angkrish Raghuvanshi

The 18-year-old Angkrish Raghuvanshi couldn't impress with his performance in the 36th match of the IPL 2024. He just scored three runs as Cameron Green took an incredible catch. The young Raghuvanshi has had a terrific debut season and has performed in a few matches so far. Hence, he'll look forward to doing the same from the next game onwards.

3. Faf du Plessis

Faf du Plessis

Skipper Faf du Plessis is definitely not having a great IPL season this year, as he hasn't fired up in most of the matches. In this game as well, Varun Chakaravarthy dismissed him for seven runs. The lack of support from du Plessis in the top order is causing many issues for the RCB team, as they have already lost six out of seven games. It's high time for the skipper to take responsibility if he wants his team to succeed.

2. Cameron Green

Cameron Green

Having been traded by the RCB team for 17 crores, Cameron Green is definitely not doing his best for the team. Even though he got two wickets in the first innings, he was extremely expensive and also failed to score runs with the bat. He was dismissed by Sunil Narine at just six runs. If RCB wants to start winning matches, Green has to start connecting with the bat as well.

1. Mitchell Starc

Mitchell Starc

Brought with a whopping amount of 24.75 crores, Mitchell Starc hasn't been in form throughout the IPL 2024. In three overs he was smashed for 55 runs while he managed to take only one wicket. It seems like KKR's decision to spend most of its purse on Starc has taken a detour. Hopefully, in the next part of the IPL, he will do justice to his auction amount.
