India’s T20 World Cup-winning side met the honourable Indian Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi on Thursday. Rohit Sharma and the rest of the Indian team visited the official residence of the Indian PM as Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid posed with the PM with the trophy in hand.  

Leading news agency ANI posted the video where the entire team could be seen heading to the official PM’s residence. The camera then panned to PM himself walking into the room as the entire team took an official picture. 

Jay Shah and Roger Binny too were spotted standing in the background as the entire team was all smiles. Mr. Modi then took the mic and spoke a few words to the team who could be seen hearing intently.

The Prime Minister had last met the team in the Ahmedabad dressing room after the team had lost the 2023 ODI World Cup finals. On that day Mr. Modi could be seen hugging and consoling all the players with Mohammed Shami in particular getting huge appreciation for his efforts.

Indian cricketers share their experiences with PM Modi 

During the video, Rohit Sharma can be seen taking the mic and speaking. Mr Modi could be seen hearing him and nodding his head. Jasprit Bumrah who played a pivotal role in the final was next to share his experiences with the PM seen having a smile and laugh on his face. 

Next Virat Kohli was given the mic as the former Indian skipper was seen giving his views. Virat Kohli was the top scorer in the final with 76 runs from 59 balls which turned out to be his final knock in the Indian colors in the T20 format. 

The video ended with Hardik Pandya recounting the catch taken by Suryakumar Yadav as the latter was all smiles. After meeting the PM, the team is set to board a plane to Mumbai where they will let the fans have a glimpse of the trophy. The team will then meet at the Wankhede Stadium as there is a felicitation ceremony being planned in front of the fans.
