Pakistan's white-ball skipper, Babar Azam's score has dripped exponentially in all the formats of the game. He has received a lot of criticism regarding his performance, and in the ongoing Test series, he hasn't done much. Coming to his rescue, the former Pakistan cricketer Salman Butt has urged the fans to give him some time. He also mentioned that Babar has scored a lot of runs in the past, which is why people feel that he isn't scoring enough these days.

"There are two reasons (why Babar is facing so much heat). No doubt, he is currently Pakistan's best batter and I think the most consistent player of the decade. But the problem is that players who struggled earlier were more out of form than Babar. Now, when he is not scoring, it feels like Babar is not doing anything. Babar has made people habituated by scoring so many runs that people now want him to score lots of runs in every inning," said Salman Butt during a recent interview.

In the last 14 innings, Babar hasn't scored a single half-century and has averaged just 22, which is extremely low. He did set some high standards in the past but now isn't able to live up to the expectations of the audience and the selectors.

Pakistan's bad form continues against Bangladesh in 2nd Test match

In the 2nd Test match of the 2-match series between Pakistan and Bangladesh, the hosts have failed massively in putting up a good total on the board. In the first innings, they managed to score 274 runs, and in the 2nd innings, they have already lost six wickets in just 114 runs. While they lead by 126 runs, more runs will be needed to beat Bangladesh in the ongoing match.

There are players like Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan who can easily win the game for the visitors or stick around to draw the game. If the game ends in a draw, Bangladesh will win the series, which will be extremely disappointing for the hosts. Hence, the Pakistan team must do their best in the ongoing Test match.
