Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are one of the dangerous teams in the history of Indian Premier League (IPL) history. The team came into being after replacing the erstwhile Champions Deccan Chargers. In-fact Hyderabad is the only IPL team which has produced two teams who have won the title in different avatars.
In 2016, SRH won the IPL title for the first time in their current avatar under the leadership of David Warner. In 2018, Hyderabad reached the finals before losing to the eventual winner Chennai Super Kings. David Warner was one of the talismanic players for Hyderabad who made the team a force to be reckoned with.
Last year Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma redefined batting during the course of the season. The Aussie batter went onto score one of the SRH fastest centuries in IPL history. Travis Head put his former team Royal Challengers Bengaluru to the sword and helped them scored the highest team total in IPL history (287) and win the game.

Key insights and stats
David Warner is the only Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batter to feature twice in the list. The former Australian batter has twice record IPL SRH fastest centuries. Warner has scored four centuries in the league and his fastest IPL century was against KKR. The former SRH skipper got his ton off mere 43 balls during the 2017 season.
Travis Head’s 39-ball century against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is fourth in the list of fastest centuries in IPL. The left-handed batted scored this century at his former stomping grounds which is the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The ton scored by the explosive Australian batter was the fastest century in IPL 2024 season.
Jonny Bairstow and David Warner achieved a rare feat when the two batters scored century during the IPL 2019 season. It was one of the few times that T20 cricket saw both openers score a century in the same game. SRH batters have in-fact scored four centuries against RCB and twice against KKR in the above-mentioned list.
Curiously no Indian batter has managed to score a century for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL so far. The best score by an Indian batter for SRH is the 92 scored by Shikhar Dhawan that came during the IPL 2018 season. Heinrich Klaasen and Harry Brook recorded SRH fastest IPL centuries in a single season.
South African, Klaasen got his century against RCB in a losing effort while Harry Brook scored his ton against KKR at the iconic Eden Gardens stadium. This was only the second time two SRH batters had recorded centuries in the same season.
