Australia's former batter David Warner backed newcomer Sam Konstas over his performance and chirpiness in the fourth Test match against India. The 19-year-old player attacked Jasprit Bumrah in the first innings and scored 60 runs in 65 balls. Warner was quite happy with the player's fearless approach against the Indian team and called him a 'Beast.'

"It was very special. People are going to criticize him as well. That’s the nature of the beast, that’s the way he is going to play. When someone like Bumrah is bowling to you, you have to try and execute somehow. They put a third-man in and fine leg to him and bowled him through the gate (in the second innings). He will look back on that and go ‘what a great experience in the Boxing Day Test’. He now gets to come here for New Year’s Test," said David Warner.

Konstas also had a fight with Virat Kohli, which became the highlight of the game. The Australian crowd was all riled up against Kohli and booed him during the Test match with chants like 'Kohli the wild dog.' However, towards the end of the game, Australia ripped apart India's hopes of qualifying for the WTC 2025 finals by beating them by 184 runs.

I think it could be a great opportunity for Uzzie to announce his retirement: Michael Clarke

Former Australian captain Michael Clarke urged Usman Khawaja to announce his retirement from Test cricket as he's already 38 years old and will be playing in his home ground, SCG. The player hasn't scored many runs in the recent past and as per the former player, this is the best time for Khawaja to retire from the format.

"This is Uzzie's home Test match, the SCG. He has been an amazing player, absolutely amazing player. Come back in, score runs overseas, score runs in Australia. He's 38 years of age, I think it could be a great opportunity for Uzzie to announce his retirement, and Sydney be his last Test," said Clarke on Beyond 23 Cricket Podcast.
